A FRIEND TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP

Since our inception, we've strived to give back  by offering scholarships to local students as well as donating to numerous developments and causes including; Howard Memorial Hospital, Cossatot Community College, Nashville Chamber of Commerce, Friends Inc., Howard County Childrens Center and Nashville Rotary Club.

“The Nashville schools and Coca-Cola have been together since the beginning. My grandfather, Forrest Wilson, moved here around 1900. This has always been a football school even before the Scrappers. They’d throw the ball on the playground, and everybody would tackle. He graduated in 1907.”

Kenneth Ramon Wilson (grandson of Forrest Wilson)

STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS

NASHVILLE HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP

Ever year we give financial scholarships to a select number of graduating seniors to help with their higher education goals.

COCA-COLA SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION

We contribute to the prestigious Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation which supports more than 1,400 exceptional college students each year, with annual scholarships of $3.55 million awarded through 3 nationally recognized programs.

NASHVILLE SCRAPPERS ATHLETICS

Nashville Scrapper Football Stadium

We contributed a donation for the new astro-turf at the Scrapper football stadium. Picture below:  Wilson family and Coke Plant employees  stand on field for donor recognition night.

SCRAPPER BASEBALL FIELD

Nashville High School Baseball Field is named Wilson Park after Forrest Wilson. He purchased the entire 14 acre park site in 1949 for the purpose of young men in the area to play baseball. In 1967 he donated the land to the Nashville Baseball association which was then deeded to the Nashville School District and current home to the Nashville Scrapper baseball team.

In 2018, Wilson Park held a rededication ceremony with members of the Wilson Family in attendance which honored Forrest Wilson's contribution of the park land.

SCRAPPER BASKETBALL ARENA

We contributed to the local high school basketball facility by purchasing the new arena's scoreboard.

HOWARD MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

HOWARD MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

The money for the lobby of the new Howard Memorial Hospital was donated by Ramon & Nelda Wilson family and the Coca-Cola Bottling Company.

COSSATOT COMMUNITY COLLEGE

University of Arkansas - Cossatot Community College Nashville Campus

In 2006, we made a sizable donation to the building of the administration building of our local Cossatot Community College campus. Picture left is Ramon and Nelda Wilson plaque hanging on the wall of the building.
